Hey AMG members! Welcome to the first official Mock Draft of the AMG league. Jamie and myself (xXGMXx) put together this mock. Expect more draft coverage and rookie content (announcements coming soon).
This draft has a wide array of talent (you know except, at QB). Lots of questions will be answered in the next few hours. Who do the Saints take with their 5 1st round picks? Who reaches for QB Antoine Slaughter? Who sorts their draft board by 40 yard dash time? Lots of questions and lots of answers will be had in the upcoming seasons. One thing is for sure: AMG legends will be drafted tonight. This is our best guess on how the 1st round will shake out. Thanks for checking us out!

“The hard hitting and speedy safety from Vanderbilt really blew people away during his combine. At 6’2’’ he looks primed to be a star in the AMG.”

2
Bears
Anthony Bartow
WR
The Penn State WR really shot on the draft boards with his late season play. The Bears would be getting an amazing deep threat with great hands to help aid their poor passing offense.
3
Packers (via Rams from Raiders)
Ramon Tatum
WR
A meteoric rise from starting the season as a late 5th to going 3rd overall in the draft. Tatum has the surest hands in the class and will immediately fill a void left by Davante Adams. Tatum’s quickness at the combine quieted many who questioned his athleticism to play in the AMG.

Packers (from Bills)
Cole Griffen
LG
Outside of Jenkins and Bakhtiari, the Packers offensive line could be confused for overzealous cheeseheads who had one too many brats at the Lambeau concession stand. With Rodgers not getting any younger, bolstering this group with the top lineman in the draft will be a great first step.
5
Football Team
Antonie Slaughter
QB
Do I think Slaughter is a top 5 player? No. Every draft we tend to see a team reach for a QB. The Football team really got nothing out of their QB position last year and I see them taking the chance on the former Spartan.
6
Bucs (From Cowboys)
Ben Anderson
DE
The Bucs depth chart, being one of the best in AMG, has very few needs. After letting Suh walk, the Bucs defensive line adds a power rusher out of Auburn. Anderson may struggle early in his career if asked to play base in the Bucs 3-4, being only 270lbs and benching 29 times at the combine. But his exceptional technique rushing the passer makes him the 1st defensive end off the board.
7
Ravens (From Eagles)
Luke McCain
DT
Brandon Williams is turning 32 and the Ravens could really use a younger option at DT. McCain is a future star and really caught teams eyes with 39 reps during the combine. A great fit.
8
Jets (From Seahawks)
Eric Duval
MLB
The Jets ownership has always shown to value talent over need. With CJ Mosley in tow, MLB isn’t a top priority. However, Duval offers athleticism and elite tackling. Too much talent to pass up here.
9
Dolphins (from Texans)
Dwayne Crossen
LG
Having already taken the best receiver in the draft the Dolphins take the best lineman left to further help the development of Tua Tagovailoa. Crossen is big and strong but very agile for his size and wins with technique.
10
49ers
George Bingham
C
The 49ers were ranked 32nd in pass offense. Whoever the next QB is will benefit from Bingham’s elite ability to protect the passer. Bingham looks like the best pure pass blocker in this class.

“I really like the Browns continuing to build their defense after trading away so much offensive talent in the last few years. They really need to get production opposite of Myles Garrett. Patton looks like a good fit for a Browns defense looking to retool after a disappointing season.”

12
Titans (From Vikings)
Jaren Casey
TE
Once a position of strength has now turned into a liability for the Titans. Jaren Casey will stretch the field for Tannehill and has a huge frame that is able to mix it up when needed in the run game.
13
Colts
Braydon Bibbs
WR
While the Colts remain a run first offense, they really need to evaluate their talent at WR. Teams really can’t afford to be one dimensional and the Colts badly need to address the position. Bibbs has great athleticism for someone his size and is a great target in the redzone.
14
Saints
Artie Dillon
CB
The Saints, after going through cap hell, have needs everywhere. Artie Dillon out of Oregon will lead a rebuild and try to fill some big shoes that Lattimore left. Dillon excels in man coverage which fits the team’s aggressive man blitz scheme.
15
Saints (from Titans)
Eric Milstead
DE
Milstead is a top 10 talent that has slipped but to no fault of his own. Fantastic 4-3 pass rusher who put up huge numbers at Notre Dame. Has average strength and burst but great speed that is able to chase quarterbacks rolling out of the pocket.
16
Chiefs
Joseph Black
SS
With one of the most talented offensive rosters in the league, one of the best defensive minds in AMG looks to shore up the other side of the ball. Joseph Black is a heady player out of Mount Union and excels roaming the middle of the field. Paired with Honey Badger the Chiefs now have one of the most instinctive safety pairs in AMG.
17
Cardinals
LiAngelo Marshall
CB
Pat Pete is on his last leg in Arizona and LiAngelo will provide much needed depth at CB. Most suited to play in the slot he should be able to transition to outside with his above average speed. Likes to play close to the line and has great hand fighting technique.
18
Saints (from Bengals)
Jose Almodovar
TE
The days of Taysom Hill playing TE are long gone as he is set to be the QB1 for the Saints. The Missouri TE is a fast and physical player that will stretch the field for the Saints. Expect big numbers from this kid.
19
Giants
DaShawn Jones
OLB
Jones is the best edge rushing OLB in the draft and should pair nicely with Noah Dawkins and Lorenzo Carter. After impressive performances at the combine and his Pro Day, Jones goes to the big apple and makes an immediate impact.
20
Bucs (From Jags)
Delbert Cates
CB
In the NFC South you need speed at corner and all signs are pointing toward Carlton Davis to be on the outs after giving up big plays. Cates has above average athleticism but a very thin frame. Bucs take the best CB available and let him develop behind SMB and Dean.
21
Steelers (From Lions)
Christian Cobb
MLB
Shipping Devin Bush has left a major hole in the middle of the field for the Steelers. While an all offensive approach seems to be the calling, The Steelers would get a decent replacement with Cobb. Though not as fast, he looks prime to be a major factor in the running game.

“The Falcons get a huge upgrade with Stephon Jenkins who I think will move from FS to SS. One of the hardest hitting safeties in the draft will immediately make his presence felt in a pass heavy division.”

22
Cowboys (From Patriots)
Lorenzo Peerman
DT
The Cowboys have struggled for a star DT to anchor their defense for a few years now. Peerman had a slow start to his career but has been impressive his senior year and has really earned a 1st round selection. I like the fit here.
23
Falcons
Stephon Jenkins
FS
The Falcons get a huge upgrade with Stephon Jenkins who I think will move from FS to SS. One of the hardest hitting safeties in the draft will immediately make his presence felt in a pass heavy division.
24
Saints (from Chargers)
Trayvon Williams
OLB
After losing Kwon Alexander, The Saints are really thin at OLB. Williams has a quick first step and is elite as a run stopper. While his zone play needs work, the tools are there to be an impact player down the line.
25
Steelers
Malcolm Greenfield
C
Steelers made a statement of how they plan to build their team after some blockbuster trades this offseason. Greenfield is one of the best pass blocking lineman in the class and should allow Big Ben time to get the ball out to Moore and Samuel.
26
Bucs
Charles Strong
DT
Bucs ship off Vita Vea and immediately replace him with Strong. Where Vea won with size and strength, Strong wins with a quick first step and high motor.
27
Giants (From Packer)
Daniel Cox
OG
Saquon is a prime talent but the Giants are going to continue to struggle unless they find him some help up front. Cox has the quickness to get to the 2nd level and help Saquon break things open for the Giants offense. The Giants need to win in the trenches and Cox can help them day one.
28
Saints (From Ravens)
James Barclay
CB
The Saints are embarrassingly thin at CB. We have them taking a 2nd CB in the 1st round. Barclay isn’t as polished of a player at this point, but he has good man skills and could find himself playing in the slot early for a cap strapped Saints team.
29
Browns (From Rams)
Tyrone Coats
MLB
A position of need forces the Browns to reach a bit here. Coats is the youngest MLB in the class and possesses great speed that the Browns value. A sure tackler that forced a number of fumbles at Georgia.
30
Ravens (From Broncos)
Nathan Nelson
ROLB
Matthew Judon is out of the door and Nathan Nelson enters from powerhouse Alabama. In spite of all the talent in Tuscaloosa, Nelson was still able to put up great sack numbers. Great footwork on the edge rushing.
31
Panthers
Greg Kindle
WR
After losing both Samuel and Moore, the Panthers have major needs at the WR position. Kindle is a speedy threat in the molds of their dearly departed. I can’t think of a better fit for Kindle and the Panthers.
32
Jets
Bobby Gales
HB
The SB champs snag an absolute steal at the end of the 1st round. Gales has an electric first step and profiles as a one cut back. This could very well turn into the best pick in the draft. He has way too much talent to fall to 32nd, but most teams can’t afford to take a RB in the 1st. The Jets can.

As always, Thanks for tuning in!
