SFL Preseason: Top 5 & Bottom 5

Top 5:

1 - New Orleans Saints (narutofan06)

The Saints are led by 5 studs on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. While the team is led by QB Drew Brees, they also have two of the best Offensive Tackles in the game in Armstead and Ramczyk. It also helps to have the best WR in the SFL in Michael Thomas. On the defensive side of the ball DE Cameron Jordan is looking at a multi sack season. Look out for the Saints in 2021.

2 - San Francisco 49ers (Thatiger74)

San Francisco is looking to get back to the big dance this year with a trio of stars. George Kittle leads the way at TE and is looking to solidify his role as the best pass catching TE in football. LT Trent Williams was acquired via a trade this off-season and he will look to bolster their offensive line. Finally, at CB, Richard Sherman still has plenty of gas in the tank. San Fran is going to be competitive this year by playing no nonsense football.

3 - Baltimore Ravens (Kelly)

The Baltimore Ravens are hoping they can make the final push this year and get to the Super Bowl. They will be led by a big 3 at QB, LT, and RE. Quarterback Lamar Jackson is hoping that teams will still struggle to figure out his dynamic style of play. He will get some help from the monster LT Ronnie Stanley. Also, at DE, Calais Campbell is hoping for one more big year after getting moved from Jax in the off-season.

4 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Markt4)

The NFC South is going to be tight this year with the Bucs adding some key free agents to compete with the Saints. The Bucs have a quad squad of players that will set them apart from the rest of the league. Newly signed QB Tom Brady will have his old friend in TE Rob Gronkowski back and Brady will even get the chance to throw to one of the best WR in the league in Mike Evans. Those two will help Brady have a better year than his last in New England. MLB Lavonte David will help anchor the defense. The Bucs are looking to win the NFC South for the first time since 2007.

5 - Kansas City Chiefs (JH58)

The Chiefs are coming off a Super Bowl victory and are looking to defend as champions. They are led by a top-heavy team with 6 dominant players. It all starts with QB Patrick Mahomes, the best QB in the SFL. He will get a lot of help this year from the fastest WR in the game, Tyreek Hill, a top tier TE in Travis Kelce, and one of the best RTs in Mitchell Schwartz. While defense is definitely going to be a weakness for the Chiefs this year, honey badger Tyrann Mathieu and DT Chris Jones will hope to make big plays to make up for the team’s lack of productive players on that side of the ball. The Chiefs are a scary team this year for sure.

Bottom 5:

5 - New York Jets (Madman)

After the Jamal Adams trade the Jets have no players on their active roster that will strike fear into their opponents. Their best player HB Le’veon Bell is hoping that his offseason workout routine came help him get back to form. He reportedly came into camp with a 4% body fat at around 225 pounds. The Jets will need all the help he can give them to have a shot at the playoffs.

4 - Carolina Panthers (Mr Gooz)

Carolina made some questionable decisions when they released Cam Newton and got rid of coach Ron Rivera. The Panthers are going to need an amazing year out of the league’s best HB, Christian McCaffrey. He is known to be a HB that can run and catch, but he might have to learn to pass too for the Panthers to have a shot this year.

3 - Detroit Lions (cares99)

The Detroit Lions are one of the worst teams in SFL history and will need all the help they can get this year. The team is hoping that Matthew Stafford can get over his Covid-19 diagnosis and put up some points by slinging the ball to WRs Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr. Those three are by far the most talented on the roster and will need to show up for the Lions to have a chance.

2 - Washington Football Team (OrigiNolan)

Washington got rid of their racist name and added a no-nonsense coach in Ron Rivera. However, their roster is still devoid of talent. The best part of Washington’s team is by far their defensive line. They are anchored by three solid Defensive Tackles in Matthew Ioanndis, Da’Ron Payne, and Jonathan Allen. The Football Team’s only hope is to have those big hogs clog up the middle and let LE Ryan Kerrigan rack up some sacks. Washington is probably a year or two out, but at least they have a good starting point in the trenches and the right coach for the job.

1 - Miami Dolphins (iSaintNick)

The Dolphins are my worst team in the league this year. They have been rebuilding for years and I doubt that QB Tua will make enough of an impact in his first year. Still, the Dolphins are hoping that a defensive dup in CB Bryon Jones and LOLB Kyle Van Noy can help them get back to basics and take some pressure off of the offense.
