The Las Vegas Raiders opened the season in an impressive fashion, defeating their division rival Denver Broncos. It was the premier of rookie quarterback Darrell Barnes, and he looked sharp in his first career start. The 22 year-old managed the game efficiently, tallying 274 yards on 68% completion percentage, with three touchdowns and an interception. His performance was aided by a solid rushing performance from Ronald Jones II and new Raider Justice Hill. Both backs combined for 106 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.
On the defensive side of the ball, second year pro Kayvon Thibodeaux opened the season with an impressive performance, with two sacks and a forced fumble. In his rookie season he was late to get up to speed, but this season he's seemed to get off to a strong start. Another notable performance was from SS Jonathan Abram, who had three solo tackles, an interception, and a sack.
