AFC EAST
New England Patriots – The evil empire is officially re-tooled and reloaded. Lynchy came, he saw, he conquered. Now with a target on their backs and a much improved AFC East, let’s see if McCorkle and crew can repeat as back to back champs and officially restart a Patriots dynasty. Stay tuned.
Miami Dolphins – Jacoby Brissett proved that he was who Shonejohn thought he was. After an unexpected season long injury to Tua, the Dolphins weren’t able to gain much momentum in the 2021 season. Will the key additions of veteran DT Calais Campbell, as well as James White help bring more success to this team? We think so folks.
Buffalo Bills – A team that saw their run game sputter throughout 2021 added what could be a key addition with RB Melvin Gordon joining the team via free agency. This might be the improvement needed to supplant the Patriots as the top of the AFC East. Can knickerbocker’s new offensive scheme be the key? Or will it be another quick ouster from the playoffs? Time will tell.
New York Jets – After Mekhi Becton’s staph infection was cleared, the best draft in 10YF, and the addition of Robert Woods, this dog looks ready to hunt! Can Joey D be patient enough with his offense and take the short check downs instead of looking for the deep ball? I doubt it, but we’ll see. These games should be a bit more interesting with the talent the Jets are putting on the field after an abysmal 3-14 season. Is season 4 here yet?
AFC WEST
LA Chargers – Some key acquisitions via trades brought some stud veterans to the California sunshine. LT Bryan Bulaga and DT Fletcher Cox help shore up both sides of the ball in a major way. After being oustered in the first round, it’s clear that Sueppel is back for blood in what looks to be one of the toughest conferences in 10YF. Will this be enough? Stay tuned on…as the 10YF turns!
KC Chiefs – $500 million dollar QBs are all well and good, but what does that leave for the rest of the team? Jazz seemingly navigated cap hell as well as he could this off-season while still keeping this KC roster competitive. The core is intact, the supporting cast and the additions of RBs Raheem Mostert and Ty Montgomery may just be enough to get him back to the AFC Championship.
Denver Broncos – Talk about turning shit into syrup folks. Druww has done nothing but impress since he’s joined this garbage league. He’s not only held his own in one of the toughest divisions, but was leading it before a late season stint that saw the Broncos lose 4 out of their last 6 games before the playoffs. He did put up a fight, but was bested by the eventual SB Champion Pats. The young WR core looks to be improved, Teddy two gloves is resigned and ready to take this team back to the playoffs.
LV Raiders – Seriously, who in the hell knows. The largest off-season acquisition of Aaron Rodgers seems to be exactly the jolt of life this team needed to return them back to glory. Even with the unfortunate departure of Henry Ruggs, this team should be able to work well off of the play action game, if Josh Jacobs doesn’t get 400 carries himself. The on again off again Raiders seem to be trending upward this year, it’s seems like this will be the 12-5 year on this crazy roller-coaster of an owner. Time will tell.
AFC North
Baltimore Ravens – An 11-6 finish saw Escobar at the top of this division last year. After a disappointing 1st round loss, the Ravens bring more talent at wideout to the fracas with the addition of former Cardinal pass catcher Christian Kirk. Will the man with the most experience playing Skynet this year have what it takes to remain at the top of the North?
Cincinatti Bengals – Skynet has spent YEARS trying to tear down 10YF internally, as usual, but this time they decided they want to play IN season. We’ll see what robo big Dick Joe has in store for the league, can the other obsolete human foes in the AFC North keep them from being at the top of this division? 4 words. THE.END.IS.NIGH
Cleveland Browns – Brains, braun, beauty? This man has none of them, but one thing Cavs does have is a penchant for trades. Will he continue to try to blame Baker for succumbing to his tendency to throw deep balls once again? Will he try to find success with one of the best RBs in the game? What started out as a promising season ended up in normal fuckery, and had some pundits questioning if the Browns were tanking. No one knows. We all just watch in awe.
Pittsburgh Steelers – After bowing out last cycle, Legend of NYC is back and is ready to compete. He’s got Rookie QB Carson Strong on the roster, possibly a replacement for Big Ben, along with the free agent addition of Pittsburgh native John Connor, who should help immensely as Skynet is now a divisional foe. I’ll see myself out…
AFC South
Tennessee Titans – Julio is a year older, King Henry’s usage has seemingly decreased, Tannehill is done. Can Heisman winner Desmond Ridder be what the Dr. ordered to make last year’s run to the AFC Divisional round more fruitful? Syndicate would like to think so, always a SB threat, this team should be able to make a deep run this year barring any unforeseen setbacks.
Jacksonville Jaguars – 15+ hours working on his draft board. Our most dedicated member is a pain both in the chat and on the field. With a few key pieces in DJ Chark and Travis Etienne being available for a full season, our resident Frenchmen in the UK, CoachMac may be looking to bring this team to the playoffs this year. Can he withstand the constant onslaught in the chat to make a playoff run year two with these Jags? Possibly.
Indianapolis Colts – The stars may have aligned for our Colts owner here, boasting the most Superstar players on any team for some odd reason, gphenom with Matty Ice at the helm is a match made in heaven. We’ll see if he can get out of his own way enough this season to see success in Indy.
Houston Texans – RB Nate McCrary surprised a lot of people by beating out all newcomers for AFC Rookie of the year, akidnamedpat, is entrenched in this Texans life. With some late season improvement, and a ton of speed at wideout with the addition of Isaiah McKenzie to add to Brandin Cooks at WR, this division just got a bit tougher for all this year.
NFC East
Washington FT – Ta’Amu is love, Ta’Amu is life! We could talk about the key FA additions of Fournette, Ricard, and Akiem Hicks to illustrate the improvements this team has made, but why would we do that when it’s clear that Jordan Ta’Amu is the talk of the town in DC. We’ll see if he holds steady in his second season as starter for WFT make something happen in the playoffs.
NY Giants – Jones out, Carr in, Corral in, who in the hell knows what’s going on in NY folks. One of our newest members is finding out that this league isn’t just hike and fling it, some key victories late in the season saw the Giants fighting for a wildcard spot after an abysmal start. One thing’s for sure, there is more comp in the NFC Least this year. For sure.
Dallas Cowboys – One of the most surprising turnarounds we saw last season was Smashmouth winning the East with a 12-5 record on the strength of MVP Zeke Elliot’s truckstick. Can he keep up this pace while playing a 1st place schedule? This division is full of fuckery and this season should be even more of that.
Philadelphia Eagles – Heavy sigh… Trading a budding QB on a rookie deal is something you literally NEVER see in the NFL, but hey, we try to let the kids do as they please, I guess. We’ll see if Malik Willis at the helm will get this squad where Zep is trying to go. I think he might find out the hard way that there’s a difference between playing Madden and playing in a Madden league.
NFC West
LA Rams – Taking over his father’s old business, jdzero will look to have this Ram’s team humming very soon. We’ll see how the cap issues manifest themselves and whether his stick skills will be enough to keep this team on the top of the division for long. This man has proven to make every team in his 10YF tenure a playoff contender and a threat for the title.
San Francisco 49ers – After freestyling the best SB song in 10YF history, nickysavage proves that there’s more to him than wrestling and complaining about madden games. He looks to have this 9ers team back on track and is returning to his glory days as a perennial 10YF playoff team. Can the return of Dre Greenlaw offset the loss of Trent Williams? Are the rumors from Trent true about a truly toxic lockeroom with an overwhelming smell of man musk? Things get wild in SF ladies and gents. Sheesh.
Seattle Seahawks – I mean, how many adjectives can we use to describe greatness, we’re not talking about the team here, we’re talking of the man behind the sticks. Seriously, just an all around stud folks, the guy you want to be around, the guy you want your kids to be. Oh, and he’s returning 10 starters from the number 1 defense in the league last year. #GoHawks
Arizona Cardinals – A former 10YF champ returns to prove that Ed Oliver isn’t the only one who can average an ungodly 2 sacks per game. We’ll see what he can do with Midget Kyler facing 3 playoff teams in his division and find out whether he can hold his own in what was one of the more solid divisions. With this addition, this rounds out what could be one of the more well rounded divisions in 10YF.
NFC North
Green Bay Packers – King of the North! King of the North! After completing the first ever undefeated season in 10YF history, bhruuw has showed nothing but class and grace in every shape form and fashion. No complaints about him, barely a complaint from him. This man plays games, well, and let’s all the rest of you losers do the talking. We’ll see if Jordan Love really is the next big thing in GB, he’s got humongous shoes to fill.
Chicago Bears – A key trade that brought OBJ to Chicago may be just what the doctor ordered, Kui is back home with his Bears and seems to be getting back to his old winning ways. After barely missing the playoffs last year following a late season meltdown, the Bears may have all they need to make this the 2nd toughest division in the league.
Minnesota Vikings – This division legit has some 10YF dogs in it, wow, another case of a slow start to the season, RW was certain that Kirk Cousins was not the answer and chose to move on from that hefty contract. Another first for 10YF was Dalvin Cook finishing the whole season without a major injury, if this remains the case, the NFC Norte is going to be an absolute gauntlet.
Detroit Lions – 1st overall pick Kayvon Thibodeaux wasn’t the only splash move in the draft, WR Chris Olave was also added to this Lions team that fought hard for every inch, every game. The Lions 6-11 record in no way showcased the brand of knee biting football that Warden has brought to the Motor City, we’ve seen this team reach the playoffs under his helm before. We just may see our first division with 4 playoff teams.
NFC South
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Welp, he’s officially back. I think we all know that a SB runner up finish last year will only fuel the fire for Born, he’s back this year and looking to finish what he started in TB. After trying to grab literally every WR in free agency, no doubt this team is built to air the rock out. SB or bust.
New Orleans Saints – In another absolute shocker during the restart, Alkhalde was playing possum. This Saints team went from nothing to legit playoff contenders last season on the back of Alvin Kamara. The loss of Cam Jordan may prove too much an obstacle to overcome in this pass heavy division, but the addition of rookie QB Grayson McCall is what N’awlins is hoping will help get them to the next step.
Carolina Panthers – A blockbuster trade for QB Jalen Hurts is what Adotleon needs to see his team take that leap forward. After posting pictures in the chat of himself with some rando thots, he almost seems human to us now, our reddit wildling is becoming a main character, love to see it. Will his strategy of R1 on offense and Dime SZN on defense be enough to get him into the big show at the end of the season? I wouldn’t be surprised actually.
Atlanta Falcons – In Sam Howell we trust! That’s the motto in ATL these days, after shedding Matty Ice’s Albatross of a contract, Rbanks seems to heading in the right direction. CoachMac’s mancrush on Kyle Pitt’s is about the only thing in this league that’s more impressive than Pitt’s phenomenal production itself. I think we’ll see some improvement from these dirty Birds, but enough to make a run? Meh.
