Hello all!

SGC is a group of 30+ members that have created Leagues and participated as a whole in games such as Madden, Ark, NBA 2K, and more!  As we normally do, we are setting up our Show League as well!  However, not as many SGC members share the same baseball love as most of us!   So we are looking for some solid owners to fill in the ranks.

What we are looking for:

- Mature Players.  Players that have no problem following the rules of our league (Which will be posted later), and can act in a mature manner.   No politics, Religion topics, etc.  Just good old fashion sports and friendly chatting!

- Active Players.  We understand that real life can come into play.   We just ask that if you wish to join, you try your best to make a commitment and can meet our requirements for games played per advance.   We just want to avoid players joining the league, possibly making a trade and then leaving soon after.   We want people that are in it for the long haul!

- Group Me Chat App.  We use this chat to communicate, have friendly baseball conversations, and schedule games.  It's very simple to download if you haven't downloaded it already!  If you need help downloading and joining our Group Me Chat, please don't hesitate to text me!  My number is listed at the end.

So with out going into a huge amount of detail, as the game has not come out yet, let me mention a few rules so that you can get an idea of what kind of league we will be hosting. 

1)  One of the biggest problems that you see with some MLB The Show Leagues, is you have the Hardcore active players, and players that may not have as much time on their hands due to work, kids, etc.   Because of this, we have decided to not only make a requirement of games that must be played per Advance, but also a limit on how many games you can play during that time.   The reason for this is the fact that because we use the open schedule option, we don't want to have certain members with more time on their hands to knock out 20 games off the bat, and others just meeting the requirements of 4-5 games per advance, (We have not decided on how many games must be played per advance, as we will vote on it as a whole when we get closer to the 28th).   We also don't want people to knock out their games, get burnt out, and grow tired of waiting on other players to catch up. 

2)  Realistic Trading.  We aren't going to be unbelievably strict, but again, we just don't want to see trades that would have about a 0 percent chance of happening in real life.  We base all our leagues on SIM play, so we treat trades the same.   Admins will vote on each trade, as their are 5 admins to keep one person from being the say all end all leader.  So when a trade is proposed, the five admins will vote, 3 yes' will get it approved.   To add to the "Realistic" trading, we completely understand that there will be rebuilding teams, and teams going for the Title right away.  So rebuilding teams looking to unload older players for prospects is definitely acceptable, as is players making the Title push to add that key starter they need to push themselves over the top!  We will have a system in place to allow only a certain amount of trades per user, as again, we don't want a team blown up only for that player to leave, forcing us to find a new owner, only for him or her to find an unrecognizable team.

3)  Riding/Knights Operation Sports Roster.   As a lot of Show players know, Riding/Knight and many more on OS create an absolutely amazing roster for the game, adding the minor league players, which changes the entire game!  We will be using this roster in our League.  So while we may have to wait a few weeks after launch to start our league, it will certainly be worth it!

4)  More articles than you can imagine!  We hope that Daddy Leagues will have an MLB The Show 17 website option, as I love...to write articles for our leagues, as do a lot of our members.   It brings so much more to the game.  You can expect to see "Prospects to watch", "Projections", "Trade Evaluations", "Weekly Team Articles", "Full 32 Team Power Rankings", and much much more!

Basics

Group Me Chat
A)    Be Respectful!  Politics/Religion topics are not fit for this chat.   This is a place for baseball talk, and friendly chatting.  Yes, some of us may joke around making fun of the other, but it’s because quite a few of us have known each other for some time now.  However, if you are new, don’t worry!  You will fit in quickly and will be a part of the SGC in no time!

B)    This is the best way to schedule a game with an opponent.  You can send a Direct Message (A private message) or @ someone, for example - @LiLTex18 – When can you play?.” 

29 Game Season. -  We do this, because we want drafts to matter!  This will allow us to have multiple drafts, and time for prospects to grow into top players, allowing rebuilding teams the time to build the contenders they couldn’t have if we were to have a higher number of games per season.

Open Schedule – This means you can play ANY game that is on your schedule.   I HIGHLY suggest trying to play a Series at a time if possible.  If not it’s completely understandable, but this means you’ll face THREE-FOUR separate pitchers, instead of playing one of their pitchers, then going to a different series, and play against another possible ACE back to back. 

Advances will be every Sunday

Games Required Per Advance – 4
Most games allowed to be played – 7
•    If you know you’re going to be busy during a certain advance, just let me know, and you can play more than the max amount of games to allow yourself to play 2-3 games during the current advance.  Or just make it up sometime soon.

We will be playing on All Star Hitting and Pitching. 

----- Pitching
1)    No abusing High fastballs, curve balls in the dirt.  Both are obviously realistic, but what I mean by this are fastballs at the very top of the screen, or Curve’s in the dirt every other pitch.   By no means am I saying curves can’t be in the dirt, or fastballs can’t be high.  Just not at the very top of the screen, or pitches in the dirt every other one thrown.

2)    Any style but Classic.  Pulse/Meter are allowed to be used.   

3)    Use a 5-6 man Pitching staff.  Sometimes this league allows you to get away with pitching with the same starter two or three times in a row without losing fatigue.   In this league, please use all your Starters in your pitching staff.  I.E. – If you play me your first game, and play another user or CPU next, please use your number two starter your second game no matter what, or your next starter in line.  This will keep stats realistic, instead of allowing you to pitch with your ace each and every game.

4)    There WILL be Balks.  This is to keep people from rushing pitches, not allowing a player to get a lead if they choose.  Make sure to come set after selecting a pitch.

-------Hitting

1)    Analog is the style we will be using to hit.   We don’t want people using the classic style (X for contact, square for power.)   Analog directional hitting is the most realistic, and I will play as many practice games with you to allow you to get use to it if you’d never used this style of hitting.  There’s also batting practice offline you can use to practice.  You may use “Flick” or “Stride.”  That’s your decision.

2)    Don’t abuse drag bunts.   Every team has their speedster, and bunting for a hit is certainly OK, but please don’t use that as the only way to get on with that player.   Mix it up!

Sliders – We will be using TNK’s sliders.  You can find them in the slider Vault, get use to them!

Free Agents – You may only sign “3” Free Agents per Advance.   During the off season, that’s up to you on who or how many you sign.  Obviously money will restrict you from signing everyone!

Trades – They will be judged by 5 Admins, if 3 give the OK, then it will go through.   We want this to be a realistic league.  We won’t be overly strict, but you must have a reasoning behind your trades!

Draft – Once the Season/Playoffs are over, we will set up a time in which we will try to get as many people available to participate in (The Amateur Draft). 

Rule 5 Draft – For those not aware of how this draft works, the rule 5 draft will list players available for drafting.   However, if you DO draft one of these players, he MUST be on the 25 man roster.  If you decide to send him down at any point, he will become a free agent.   

Streaming – I always enjoy watching a good Show Game, so if you feel like streaming your game, go for it!  However, it causes a lag for your opponent, you must stop streaming immediately.    If you are playing the computer, I encourage you to stream!
