After an offseason of huge moves throughout the league the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings were set to defend their respective conference crowns. Young players replaced veterans like Peyton Manning, and Charles Woodson in a league where turnover is constant. Names like Cooper Ballard, Tank Sapp, Jaquan Carrington, & Sean Griffin entered the league with promise. However there are two teams that took drastically different paths to meet in this superbowl. Chicago moved draft picks in order build a young core on defense with Ryan Shazier, Christian Jones, and Jason Pierre Paul. They acquired their quarterback Johnny Manziel after a short turbulent stint with the Browns and he had one year in coach Fox's offense. Miami improved their offensive line and Cameron Jordan found some talent no one knew he had before. Lamar miller was as explosive a runner this year as any in his career. Chicago fought off Minnesota a 3rd time to reach the superbowl, Miami turned back the Rookie sensation Cooper Ballard and his formidable Broncos squad.
