From the ashes of other sim leagues GFL came to existence to provide a place for sim madden players to get one of the best CFM experiences out there. The Denver Broncos and Peyton manning had been precipice of greatness the last couple of years but came up short in the Superbowl and AFC Championship game. The GFL Season 1 Broncos were not willing to stand pat though, they made a number of huge moves the biggest being trading veteran CB Aqib Talib to the Steelers for All pro Center Marquise Pouncey. Minnesota had largely been out of the playoff mix but the organization felt they were poised for a huge year. So Minnesota sent 1st round project receiver Cordarelle Patterson and a mid round draft pick to the Bills for Robert Woods to bring in some sure hands to their receiving corps.  Both teams fought through tough competition to get to the Superbowl.
