Truffant is a stud. Casey is good, but old. I feel Truffant is worth more

Casey is 28 and he's a DT.  His stats that will fall after two more seasons but the stats that will drop are speed and quickness. He is a pure run stopper and pass rusher from the middle so given his current speed which isn't very fast, the decline is not very significant. Trufant is just 1 year younger at 27 and once he's 30, his speed and quickness stats will start to fall and given his position, its a crucial area of decline as oppose to Casey's. Also Madden 17 is close so only going to have probably 2 more seasons after this.

Trufant could easily be the best corner in the game, if not top 3. There are only 2 years of madden 16 left maybe 3 so decline isn't going to happen. With this being the case. Trufant will still be a top 5 CB by the time he's 30.

Cases probably isn't even a top 5 DT/DE and interior linemen aren't as coveted as CBs are. You will struggle to find a starting CB past the top 15 picks yet you could easily find a top DT/DE in the 2nd round, probably even the 3rd but that would be pushing it. Southward is a nothing CB with high 70 coverage and 50 AWR and Play Rec, I wouldn't have him at nickel. He's probably just a dime CB so he's nothing in this trade.

With all this being said, I just don't think the Falcons are getting enough. They certainly shouldn't be giving up a 3rd round pick.  I just don't think Casey is that good. He has good rushing attributes but is pretty slow for a 4-3 DE and I just think  interior DTs aren't worth much in this game unless they have at least low 80 acc imo

That link shows that in my opinion there are 11 better DE/DTs than Casey. Not including Von Miller.
