As stated in the first Article...I have never tried Owner Mode. I haven't been in anything like it since Madden '07, where you had a local periodical reporting your weekly news, control over your Stadium build and upgrades, down to the bratwurst prices, and I'm excited to dive in to controlling aspects of my team like never before. The reason we are mandated to Owner Mode is because one reward involves the ability to Relocate your Team if earned. There will also be awards for good Ownership, which compliments the NFL awards for excellent play.

To be on even keel here, I have some notes from doing some digging that I will expand on as more is learned. To begin, ONCE OKAYED BY FOUNDERS, a team can petition to Relocate. That is done in the Offseason. Then, around Week 5, you are asked for a Destination. You are shown a map with the possible cities you can move to (There are cities in London, Ireland, and Mexico City, in addition to a few US locations). The Cities PROVIDE you Team Name Options, so if you dreamed of creating the Puerto Rican Generales (like I was), you may have to settle for the Portland River Hogs (which I won't).The following week you will be asked a Media Question, and thereafter, will choose between a set of uniforms specific to the team you chose. You will choose the Stadium from a list of styles, and along the way you will be given clues as to which would best suit the economy of the area. A list of details to each step may follow in this forum.

Player Happiness refers to re-signing tendencies, even when lowballed. Fan Happiness refers to butts in chairs in your Stadium. Money Happiness starts you with $7 mil, but your players have lower Happiness - refer to sentence one in this paragraph. Kinda wish I knew that before I decided on that Ron Jeremy-looking guy. The Owner will only be seen in Name Only - no picture of him/her will ever be displayed.

You have a hand in your Staff, with the ability to change them during the Offseason (Stage 1). This includes Trainer, Head Coach, Scout and Trainer. Your Head Coach makes Offense, Defense, Line and Special Team Coach decisions. You are still in control of Coach Mode Tasks like subs, schemes, depth, etc...

One reason we don't run daily is because we need time to process and decide, not only Coach Decisions, but steer the financial ship as well. You have your "Treasury" which is your Owner's personal wallet, and Team Funds. The wallet pays the staff fees and player bonuses. Your income is tabulated every week of the season with merchandise sales - home games also rake in ticket and concessions. There is a shared NFL Revenue dispersed at the end of the year, by which the Salary Cap is derived. You can see public opinion of your price levels in the game Twitter while in those screens in your Owner tile.

Add your experience here in Replies. From what I see, a big piece of advise is to do any Stadium Renovations/Upgrades after Rookie Signings to make sure you have enough to move forward with your plans. If you answer Media Questions, as you are periodically asked throughout the Season, and are permitted a bonus (+25% to jersies, for example), then you have to manually raise the price of the jersies yourself, and expect fan expectations to match. Expect rough patches early on with growing pains if you are like me, and learn by messing up sometimes.
