League Rules
This is a SIM league. This means, try your best to actually do what an NFL team would do in real life in the same situation. No running up the score on an opponent, no running the same 5-6 plays over and over, no nanos, no FAG D, NO GLITCHES OF ANY KIND, no purposely throwing games, etc. Blitz Rule: You can use any blitz so long that it can be picked up by blocking 1v1 while staying in the pocket. A blitz is defined as any play that sends 5 or more rushers, if you have a play that gets untouched pressure by sending less than 5 guys then its illegal and considered a nano. If a blitz sends 5 it must be possible to pick it up with 5 blockers, if a blitz sends 6 you must be able to pick it up with 6 blockers, etc. This does not mean that if the defense sends 5 rushers that you will automatically pick up the pressure, you as the offensive player must take responsibility for having a sound protection scheme. Any blitz that brings an interior lineman free is considered a nano (some glitch like occurrences do happen tho). You also cannot EVER use a spy to set up a blitz. Pass Rush/Coverage Rule: You must rush at least 3 defenders at all times. No FAG D is allowed. This means all 3 defenders must be rushing and not in a Spy. Contains do rush, so a contain is considered 2 rushers. Playcalling Rule: You must use more than 1 formation but how you call your plays should be mostly left to the offensive player so long as they aren’t exploiting the game. Owners should mix up their play calling and not run the same plays and same formations on both sides of the ball. This means do not run 2 man under all game long. 4th Down Rule: You must be beyond the 50 to go for it on 4th down. 4th down attempts require yardage of 1 yard or less. In the second half (3rd quarter or later) you can go for it anytime down 14 points or more. No Huddle Rule: No huddle can be ran during the game at anytime as long as the offense waits until the play clock reaches 30 seconds to hike the ball. Game Disconnections: If the game is disconnected during the game and there is less than a 14 point differential, this is a restart. If the score is 14 points or more in the 1st and 2nd qtrs the owners need to restart and recreate the score, clock time and possession. Any disconnect in the 3rd or 4th quarter will result in a decision to be made by the winning party. If the owners are tied, the game can be replayed completely or a quarter played and the winner receiving a sim a win option from the commish. If an owners has a history of disconnecting when they are down, this will be reviewed by the commish to determine whether or not it is intentional and possible owner suspension will be enforced. Disconnections in the 4th will either be recreated or the losing party placed on auto contingent with the score and the amount of time left. Blocking Kicks Rule: You are not allowed to get a running start to try and block a kick. Some people can time it perfectly every time and pretty much block most kicks. You can control the player on the edge and can only move him once the ball is snapped. The reason for this is if we didn't have this rule, we would have a large number of blocked kicks every week when actually in the NFL, blocked kicks are very very rare, especially coming from the outside edge. Trading Trades will be unlimited for this league. For the year teams must maintain under 10 million cap hit from these trades. Any first year players must maintain 6 million or less in cap hits. Once a team hits the defined limit they’re done on trades. All trades must be submitted Roster Transactions sub-forum. Trades will be reviewed by the trade committee for approval. Trade committee consists of James, Arch, BMK and Florida.
When posting trades, please include the player name, position, cap hit, and attributes. If possible, please post the daddyleagues link for the individual players. Please avoid making trades that will warrant some investigation and trade in a manner that doesn't defy common sense and logic because if members see a trade as being uneven, the Trade Committee (TC) will look the trade over and whatever the majority decides will be the final ruling. The TC may also recommend what needs to be done to even out the trade. If any trades occur by the two teams involved dropping the players that they want to swap (aka: drop trading), then the transaction will be reversed, and the owners will be given warnings. If you repeat this offense, you will be booted. This is allowed in certain cases. You are only allowed to trade the draft picks that show up in the game (the current season, and following season). Game Format All games are 8 minutes long and are played on All Madden difficulty with the clock runoff set to 20 seconds. We will advance every other day. If we get the games done before the deadline, we will advance early. If an active member can't make their game in the scheduled time, he may negotiate to extend the deadline. Please stay active if you want the privilege of negotiating an extended deadline. Disciplinary Actions: As we’ve found in the past. A group effort is the best way to come to a collective agreement on disciplinary action for rule violations. In the case of a rule infraction, the commish circle will review the incident as well as the individual’s prior infraction history within the league. If a collective decision can’t be made, myself or kk will make the final decision on the penalty for the player.
No cpu games will be given, in the case of an idle or missing opponent, sim a win will be given to the asking party.
Player Attributes: The following changes are not allowed to a player using the xp system: Speed, jump, and accel for ANY player. This is in order to make the league more enjoyable for everyone. As in the NFL, players don't become faster, any other attributes changes are fine. If a owner is caught upgrading the speed and accel of a player, that player will immediately be forfeited by the owner and the team will have to eat the cap penalty regardless of the amount. Pausing: In game pauses happen due to personnel changes, challenges, or things outside of madden. In this case it is encouraged to work with your opponent and give them time but it is not mandatory. Each team is given 5 pauses and can use them as needed. Chew clock: clew clock is allowed in the 4th quarter 4 mins or less in a blowout(17 points or more). If less than 17 no chew clock until 2 min mark. In the second quarter 2 mins or less as well. No milking is allowed outside of these two situations. Milking is defined as repetitive playcalling where the ball is snapped with little to no play clock time left Roster Requirements:
