When I joined DL I expected these forums to be full of help from the other members when it came to coding/running the site/running a league/madden in general. I understand it's not OS, but still. Instead of that we got a ton of questions  and no answers.

When it comes to the coding, I understand that many of us paid for the league to look how it does, but sometimes just a little help goes a long way. We shouldn't have the tutorials page have a ton of questions and no answers. Telling them to go to a website to learn does help, but for the most part we don't have the time to learn how to code in CSS and HTML.

We should stop looking at it as "I want my league to look the best" and start looking at it as "I want my community to look the best" because honestly, the stock about they give you isn't the best.

what makes u think the guys who know code have the time to "help" those who don't? I try to help all I can but honestly it always turns into a headache w the persons pretty much expecting me to do it for them. I learned all my code from W3schools.org back in M10 when i started... My sites werent the best looking the first few Madden's but I like to think I've come a long way. If u want ur LG tp look the best u need to invest the time... if u dont have the time then u invest the money. Keep at it and try things out and you'll be happier with yourself down the road for learning the code and making it all on ur own.

Actually, I've found nothing but help from the guys here at daddyleagues. I remember when Papi first took it over after the other site, can't even remember name of it, stopped operating. Papi poured a lot of work into this community to help out a big part of the madden community that would have been SOL. Whenever I've had major problems I send him a PM and he gets back to me. Many moons ago I messed my site up real bad and reached out to Broom for support. He actually had me call him up and helped me fix my page. All for free and for just wanting to help out the community. At the end of the day, your site will look how you want it to look. You just have to put in the work to make it look that way. Nothing is free in life. With the stock site in this community you get the base code. By doing some exploring online, asking questions and staying up til 3am breaking your page code and then staying up til 5am fixing it just to sleep two hours and go to work at 7am, you get that badass site you desire.

There is a distinct difference between this site and OS too. OS is simply a sports forum. This is a site dedicated to helping guys run their leagues through site hosting. Completely different and thus draw a completely different crowd.

I would echo what Broom said. W3schools is a great start to learning coding. I don't have the best looking page but it works for what we do. Learned basic HTML coding out of a necessity from using this site. Doesn't take much time but a few hours here and there to learn some new things. I'll offer my support if you need and do what I can to help you out. It's the least I could in return to the support I've received.

Expecting ppl to do your website for you and hiding behind the "Community" Is just BS !!! Google it figure it out yourself man be CREATIVE!!! Everybody wants free handouts in this community for their leagues that are as Seasonal as the lobby gamers in it.

JohnnieE- No worries bro, you just need someone with time to walk you through the basics. We are THE longest running Madden league of all time (14 Calendars) and we have two guys who are willing to spend time with you to show you the ropes. We never get too big for our britches or forget about the less fortunate. My page is basic why? Because a flashy website is not what makes a successful league. Having sound rules, active ballers and competent leadership are a few variables one needs when running a lasting league. So dont get caught up in the glitter because the best looking uniforms don't win, the best team does. Hit me up bro on PM and I will point you to the right direction.

If you REALLY dont wanna spend a few hours in a week to learn basic code, feel free to just copy my site. You'd feel 100x better if you did it yourself and knew exactly how to fix something or change something if need be (I def do), but if you dont care about that and want the instant gratification, knock yourself out. A lot of people will throw a fit if they see you copying their code, but it's not a huge deal to me. PM me if you have any questions. Questions tho, not requests.

There are actually some pretty helpful guys in the community here. Just gotta reach out to the right people and a lot questions can be answered or figured out.
