A strictly sim league, the GMCFL (soon to be wFL) is looking to add a few members to our core for the upcoming Madden 16 release.

Some information about us:
Our Rules: http://daddyleagues.com/GMCFL/rules
We advance every 48 hours
We use GroupMe for communication
We try and be as drama free as possible
We are all adults, and try and act like it on a daily basis
We do have a lot of fun, and tend to play other games with each other (Rocket League currently)

If you're interested in getting in for Madden 16, or for the remainder of Madden 15, please PM me with your GroupMe Information!

I am looking for a league to get into.. I am new to this website (just discovered it today).  I haven't played madden in awhile but was in a fantasy drafted league a few years ago and really enjoyed it.  I have been looking into and now have read the rules for your league and MBC (madden ballaz club), both leagues seem like they are set up well.  However, I do not agree with some of the rules I read for both leagues.  The ballaz league rules is 40 long and extremely specific in some cases.  I see that your list is shorter and more broad, which I think is the better way to go.  I completely understand that some rules are necessary to make the game more realistic (sim) and to try to get rid of some of the glitchy things that can happen (nano blitzing, etc.)  At the same time though, I do not like some of the rules that hold your hand through the game so to speak..  If someone is doing something that at first you can not stop (offense or defense), then it is up to the intelligence of the other player to make the correct adjustment to counter it.

One of your rules is that you cannot run/scramble your QB unless its designed run/boot play.  I get that some people may use this excessively and it may be cheesy plays at times, but if a QB is surveying the field (lets say aaron rodgers) and he sees everyone is covered but notices a huge opening to run for a first down, he does.  If someone does this excessively, it should be up to the defense to either use de contain, or put a man in qb spy, or a zone so all the defense doesn't have their back to the qb..

One rule the ballaz group has is you cannot blitz more than 60% of the time.. Well some defenses are set up to constantly blitz, and it should up to the offense to call the right plays to be in the right protection or have hot route receiver.

I know thats not your rule and doesn't have anything to do with you.  I also get that some rules are imperative to have, and sorry for going on a rant in a sign up forum (and my run on sentences), but I would like to get in a competitive league, and would like to join one that encourages intelligent play (forces you to counter what the other team does) instead of holding your hand if something is working well for one side..

I would like to hear your take on this, and will likely try to get in the league if there are spots open and you predict it to be full/active.

Hey I appreciate the post, let me explain why we decided on our QB run rule in Madden 15.

Plain and simple, running/scrambling and throwing with a CPU on a non-designed play breaks the defensive CPU AI. If the defense would read and react like a normal defense you'd see in real life, we wouldn't have this rule. But the way EA has it set when you roll the CPU goes nuts and either backs off to cover, or sends people forward leaving multiple players wide open.

To limit that exploit we put in our QB scramble rule. It's worked well, and people still run read option, or take off when they're pressured and no one is open. It just stops people from calling a pass play simply to run the ball with their QB.

As far as blitzing....We have no limit on it, because outside of nano-blitzing, blitzes are easy to beat. We've found guys who blitz a ton are usually guys who get destroyed, because a blitz is pretty easy to beat.

Hope that helps.
